About the Film Process

All offerings are photographed on 35mm film and delivered as professional lab scans. Pricing reflects time, film, development, and thoughtful curation.

Images are delivered with minimal editing, allowing the natural character of the film to remain intact. Film is inherently organic — grain, color shifts, light leaks, and subtle imperfections are part of the medium. Each roll develops slightly differently, and these natural variations are part of what makes film photography unique. Film photography embraces natural variation in color, grain, and exposure.

Intimate Sessions — Individuals, Couples, Maternity + Early Family

Starting at $225 · 1 hour (up to 3 hours available)

Creative sessions photographed at home or wherever you feel most yourselves. These sessions are well suited for individuals, couples, maternity, and the early seasons of family life, documenting quiet, natural moments rather than traditional posed portraits.

Lightly guided, never forced, and shaped by your energy and pace rather than poses or performance. Sessions often feel most natural when photographed at home, where the environment already reflects your life together.

I work with available light and a documentary approach, allowing moments to unfold naturally while offering gentle direction when it supports the feeling of the work. Couples receive a shared inspiration board ahead of the session so we can align on mood, outfits, location ideas, and the overall atmosphere.

Delivery includes approximately 40–60 scanned images on a mix of black and white and color 35mm film, along with 5–10 Instax Wide prints and 5–10 Instax Mini prints.

Film quantities are intentionally limited to preserve a natural pace. Additional film and extended time may be added when it serves the work.

Sessions are capped at 3 hours, with extended or half-day coverage available by custom proposal.

Engagements

Film coverage varies depending on the type of celebration.

For couples who prefer structured shot lists, traditional posing, or full-day coverage with frequent direction, Oathbound Film is often best suited as a secondary photographer, working alongside a primary digital photographer to capture texture, atmosphere, and quiet in-between moments on 35mm film.

If you're looking for full-day coverage, flash-heavy reception photography, or highly staged images, this offering may not be the best fit — and I believe that clarity serves everyone best.

For couples who prioritize a documentary approach with minimal direction, Oathbound can also serve as your primary photographer.

For elopements, courthouse weddings, and smaller daytime celebrations, I frequently serve as the primary photographer when the pace and lighting align naturally with a film-based approach. Certain indoor locations may be limited due to lighting conditions, venue restrictions, or photography permit requirements.

I offer light guidance when helpful, but I don’t rely on formal posing or strict shot lists. Most sessions and events are documented as they unfold, with small prompts or adjustments to keep things relaxed and natural. You don’t need to know how to pose — the focus is on comfort, movement, and connection rather than performance.

Coverage centers atmosphere, details, and in-between moments rather than comprehensive guest documentation. I work quietly and intuitively, focusing on presence over performance.

Delivery includes approximately 60–120 scanned images on 35mm film, using a curated mix of film stocks. A limited number of instant prints may be included.

Extended coverage and additional film are available by request.
